These public website terms summarize expected use. The desktop app may also show an installed EULA during first run.
Desktop Licensing
Desktop licensing is no charge for registered members. The normal member limit is two active personal computers unless changed later by policy or support review.
Downloads
Installer downloads are controlled through signed-in member accounts. Do not redistribute installers, license keys, private links, signing material, admin keys, or API keys.
Community Conduct
Chat rooms and submissions are intended for respectful veteran, dependent, provider, and accredited-person discussion. Spam, harassment, impersonation, scams, and abusive conduct may be removed.
Accuracy
Tools, calculators, scripts, forms, and guides may contain errors or become outdated. Users should verify important information with VA.gov, official forms, accredited representatives, clinicians, or other appropriate professionals.
Availability
Website and desktop features may change, break, be rate-limited, be paused, or be removed. Users should keep their own backups of important local desktop records and exported documents.
Support boundary
Support is appreciated, never required.
Optional support helps offset development, hosting, maintenance, updates, and continued improvement. It does not change access to free registration, member licensing, public tools, or community participation.

No private memos
Do not put SSNs, VA claim numbers, medical details, or private records in payment memos.

VA Companion is not a VA system and is not endorsed by VA.
